What sizes are your cans?
There are various diameters and heights. If you have a special size in mind ask. If it's available, and you need an economic number we can get it.

Are your cans made from recycled steel?
twist open cans, ring pull cans, can supplier, marketing and promotional cans Yes over 60% recycled steel AND they can be recycled again!

Does PromoCan source the fill item?
We can but it will be cheaper, quicker and much simpler is YOU do that! The bonus is that you'll get exactly what you want first time! However if help or ideas are needed of course we're there for you!

Does PromoCan fill the cans?
Yes, with your items unless you wish to send out fresh air…and YES we've done that several time! (See the comments about closures for the exceptions).

How is the can sealed?
There are 3 types of closure.

  1. Metal. Either a full aperture easy open end (ring pull!) or a plain end that requires a can opener.twist open cans, ring pull cans, can supplier, marketing and promotional cans
  2. A plastic overclosure. PromoCan "curls" the rim before a plastic coverlid clicks on. This closure is child safe but NOT suitable to mail out unless in a box. (You can fill this can yourself if you like)
  3. StashCan. A quality plastic fitment that makes the can look standard whilst you can twist the base and open it. Resealable. (You can fill this can yourself if you like)

How long is the lead-time?
How long is a ball of string!! Depends on our workload, the specification and size of the task. Rest assured it shouldn't be as long as you think!!(a brave comment!) Our seaming machines can operate at 8 cans per minute, mind you we do have more than one!

Can we have the cans printed?
Well…yes but you'll need to order 200k+ before it's near to cost effective. A paper wrap label is usually used unless you're looking for that minimalist look and wish the metal to show, in which case an adhesive "patch" label would be needed.

Do you do artwork and printing?
twist open cans, ring pull cans, can supplier, marketing and promotional cansNo and yes we can.! We have excellent printers, based in Somerset, who have done our printing for many years and produce excellent quality. The bonus is that their prices are "more economic" than rivals in the Southeast.. However we price the printing separately so as to give you a chance to check out your own printer should you prefer. PromoCan will supply you with dimensions, paper quality and specification for your artwork/printing.

What exactly is included in the price you have quoted?
PromoCan supplies the can and end, fills with YOUR items, seals the can and applies YOUR label. Depending on the numbers the finished cans will either be cartonned or bulk packed onto pallets. Prices are ex-works. We strap our cartons and pallets to save on wastage.

Can you quote for delivery?
Yes but we will need to know exactly what the fill items weigh before being able to cost accurately. PromoCan policy is, with your agreement, to charge carriage "at cost". Our preferred carrier is TNT. Pallets are transported by Page Transport, a local carrier who serves us well. Of course you can arrange your own carrier to collect if you like.

We're thinking of a promotion, what do you need to know?

  1. What is your idea, who is it for and how is it to be achieved, is it a giveaway, post out or what?twist open cans, ring pull cans, can supplier, marketing and promotional cans
  2. How many cans are you thinking of? Remember we start at 1 can!
  3. What is your fill item?
  4. Do you have a preferred can size?
  5. What type of closure do you require?
  6. Is there a deadline date?
  7. Do you have a set budget figure? ( We don't NEED to know this but it CAN save a lot of time)

Can you send us a sample can?
Yes but we offer better than that! If you have the item you propose to can you can send it to us and we'll can it for you and return it, FOR NO CHARGE! What better way to present YOUR idea to the client, or boss, than take a can to the meeting and ask them to open it! It avoids the "concept" discussions that can go on for hours!!!!
